How do you clean the sensor on a DSLR Camera?

Or is it better to have it cleaned at my local camera store like the camera store told me? Or is that a boatload of crap? It sound pretty easy. I Have a Canon EOS Rebel XT 350D. Thanks in advance....

Cleaning the sensor is not for the faint of heart - if you screw it up, your camera is junk. Having said that, it’s not very complicated, and thousands upon thousands of people do it.
Before you start, make sure you NEED to get in there - it could be dead/ hot pixels you’re looking at in your prints.
And when you do start, take it in steps. Begin with a rocket blower. If that doesn’t work, use a dry brush. As a last resort use swabs/ a spatula, etc.
Also, don’t improrvise your cleaning gear - buy a kit. Sure fire ways to wreck your camera include using compressed air, paint brushes, home made solvents, etc.
